We’re growing our iconic business in the areas most valued by our current customers, and future customers who are wanting an easier way of accessing steel solutions.  Through targeted organic growth and acquisitions,  our growth strategy is all about strengthening the range of products and services that matter most to our customers – so that we can help make life easier for them.

General Manager of Strategic Growth, Marc Hainen, emphasises the strategic focus on investing in higher-value products and sectors:

Our results over the last two years have proven the value of our dual pathway strategy. Going forward, we’ll continue to strengthen our core foundation, but we’re also growing our business in areas we can add value.  We’re investing in high-value products, sectors and services, through either expanding our current offer, launching a new offer or through acquisition.
In 2022 Kiwi Pipe & Fittings (a key player in the fire protection and water reticulation product market) joined our team – with the Kiwi brand now operating under the Steel & Tube umbrella.  The move made us one of the largest suppliers in the fire protection market. The skills and knowledge of the Kiwi team also enhanced the expertise of our existing people and made it easier for our customers to get access to a great range, with specialist support available across the country.

We’re actively exploring and seeking opportunities to acquire businesses which fit with our strategy and culture.  Our investment in growth in the years ahead is exciting for our shareholders, team and local community.
